Harvest offers a variety of vaults designed to capture the best opportunities in DeFi. Autopilots make it seamless to optimize across them, dynamically adjusting allocations for better efficiency and performance while keeping full control in the user's hands.
One-click allocation optimization – Supply once, and Autopilot actively reallocates across the best-performing Harvest vaults.
Full automated control – Harvest does not make allocation decisions for users; Autopilot follows predefined optimization rules.
No lockups or cooldowns – Withdraw anytime, just like all Harvest products.
To stay ahead of DeFi trends, Harvest has launched dozens of vaults for major assets like USDC, WBTC, and wETH—each designed to simplify different strategies and opportunities users want to participate in. While this helps identify strategies in an ever-changing market, it also requires ongoing monitoring to manually adjust allocations effectively, which is far from ideal for most passive users. Autopilots remove that complexity, automatically shifting funds based on predefined smart contract parameters to optimize efficiency.
Supply assets to an Autopilot vault – Users select the best vault suited to their needs. Harvest automated smart contracts then optimize their allocations within 24 hours.
Automated rebalancing – Allocation adjustments can happen multiple times daily, factoring in:
Performance metrics – Automatically allocates to the most efficient vault(s) based on market conditions.
Gas costs – Factors in network costs to ensure reallocation doesn’t reduce net benefits.
Liquidity considerations – Avoids vaults where large deposits could impact efficiency.
Dynamic allocation – Automation spreads funds across multiple vaults based on automated criteria to maximize overall effectiveness.
Harvest provides two view types to accommodate different user preferences.
Easy Mode (New Autopilot Section) – Displays simplified but key user information: lifetime efficiency, live rates, and balances in both USD & token terms.
Advanced View (All Vaults Page) – Filter for Autopilots to access:
Allocation optimization history
Past & current allocation tracking
Past, current, and performance projections of your funds

Autopilot doesn’t instantly react to every rate change. Reallocations are based on sustained performance trends, gas costs, and risk parameters—not short-term spikes.
You may occasionally notice a sub-vault showing a higher APY than the Autopilot. This doesn’t always trigger a reallocation, and that’s by design. Autopilot avoids moving funds if:
Gas costs would outweigh the benefit
A rate spike is likely short-lived or inefficient to chase
This ensures allocations remain efficient over time rather than overly reactive to noise.
Autopilot streamlines user allocation optimization, helping to position assets for optimal efficiency across the DeFi sector.
To maintain transparency and safety practices, Harvest follows a structured process for adding new sub-level vaults to Autopilots:
Any addition of a new sub-vault will be announced at least 7 days in advance via Discord and Twitter.
A timelock of 72 hours before new sub-vaults get implemented.
The decision to add a sub-vault balances the need for efficient allocation optimization with considerations for security and user confidence. While some liquidity providers (LPs) may prefer longer timelocks, Harvest prioritizes flexibility, safety and ease of use, ensuring Autopilots can rapidly adapt to new market conditions.
The Autopilot technology has been developed by IPOR Labs AG and has undergone two . It is currently the most advanced technology for optimized asset allocation in DeFi. Harvest integrates this technology to help users efficiently navigate its broad offering of vaults, providing a more robust experience without sacrificing control. Additionally, Harvest's core vault infrastructure was extensively audited by the security service Halborn in January 2025:
